Registration now open for our childhood obesity event - Achieving the ambition: Can we halve childhood obesity by 2030? 15th March 2023

We’re pleased to announce that registration for our inaugural event on childhood obesity is now open. The theme of the event is Achieving the ambition: Can we halve childhood obesity by 2030? and is free to attend. 

The event will discuss the current childhood obesity context in Scotland, exploring data and trends, and discuss what interventions are required to address childhood obesity in Scotland, with a focus on action on price and availability of unhealthy food, and improving the out of home food environment to deliver the ambition of halving childhood obesity in Scotland by 2030.

Venue: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, 232-242 St Vincent Street, Glasgow 

Cost: Free, but registration is required

Dr Andrew Fraser, Chairperson of Obesity Action Scotland, and former Director of Public Health Sciences at Public Health Scotland (formally NHS Health Scotland) will Chair the event.
