Report: The current landscape of obesity services

Today the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Obesity launched a report entitled “The Current Landscape of Obesity Services”.   It contains important findings and recommendations from their inquiry.

We welcome this report and its findings.  In particular we are delighted that the group support the call for a 9pm watershed on TV advertising, adding their voices to those of many others.  This is an action that must be progressed by the UK Government with urgency. But we can’t forget some of the starker messages from this report including the level of stigma that people with obesity are facing every day.  We need a much wider understanding of the causes of obesity and the impacts of the environments around us.
