The Scottish Government held a consultation on their Draft Framework for Pain Management Service Delivery. The draft Framework sets out a vision of providing person-centred, effective and safe care that improves the quality of life and wellbeing of people living with chronic pain in Scotland, and describes our commitments to deliver this ambition.
The consultation sought views on the Vision, Aims and Commitments outlined in the Draft Framework, to determine the best actions possible to deliver improvements in care and support.
In our response, we outline the importance of taking a person-centred approach, ensuring weight stigma is avoided in access to weight management services, and the need for improved training and education on the management of chronic pain.
The consultation closes on 28th February 2022.
