The Scottish Food Coalition is a coalition of 50 organisations working together towards a whole-system approach to food policy.
The Coalition believes there is strength in working collectively. Though the individual organisations involved have different priorities, as a Coalition no issue is more important than the others: from workers' right to wildlife loss, diet-related ill-health to food poverty, all of these challenges are urgent and can be solved more effectively by looking at the whole system.
Most recently, the work of the Coalition has been focused on the Good Food Nation (Scotland) Bill which was passed into law in June 2022. In the coming months, the Coalition will be shifting attention to what comes next. To find out more, read the recently published report: A Good Food Nation For Scotland, Why & How.
